Overview

The state of Nuevo León is committed to continuing its support for the Space for Equality and Inclusion of Migrants, Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Returnees (EIIPMRDR). Located in the municipality of Monterrey, the EIIPMRDR offers specialised services in human rights guidance and provides accurate, clear, and reliable information on immigration and asylum procedures, as well as access to health, education, identity, and employment services. The Space’s programmes include job placement through the Inclusion Fair and the Labour Inclusion Programme, enrolment in the “Cuidar tu Salud” health-care programme, and the educational programme “Te Lleva a la Escuela.”

Nuevo León has expanded the Space through mobile units to bring these services to various parts of the state. Services include legal guidance and registration to access rights. This Mobile Space has been deployed at events such as public service booths, service centres, inclusion fairs, and mobile consulates.

In coordination with international organisations such as the IOM and UNHCR, as well as with national and state authorities, Nuevo León is committed to continuing to support and expand the EIIPMRDR and to providing access to services and documentation to its primary beneficiaries.

Realised Impact (As of October 2025)

Since its opening, the Centre has served more than 19,000 people from 53 nationalities. An equivalent of one in every four beneficiaries has regularised their migration status, been incorporated into formal employment, enrolled in the education system, and registered in the “Cuidar tu Salud” health-care programme so that all people, regardless of their migration status, can access the State Government’s health system. The State is currently also promoting vaccination campaigns and basic education accreditation through the Centre.
